Koronadal City, South Cotabato - The Protected Area Management Office (PAMO) of Allah Valley Protected Landscape (AVPL) held its mid-year assessment on July 10, at the Lazy Spot, Koronadal City to measure and evaluate the accomplishments and performance of the PAMO based on the CY 2023 Regular Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) and the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) Work and Financial Plans.
During the assessment, focal persons for major programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) presented the accomplishments for the first semester of 2023. The presentations showcased the significant progress made by the AVPL in implementing various conservation activities during the first half of the year and highlight the dedication and commitment of the PAMO in achieving the goals outlined in the Work and Financial Plans.
PENR Officer Radzak B. Sinarimbo expressed his satisfaction with the accomplishments presented and acknowledged the efforts of the PAMO personnel. β€œThis assessment is essential to continuously improve and ensure the effective management of the Allah Valley Protected Landscape”, he stressed.
Following the presentations, an action planning session was conducted to strategize and establish a roadmap for the remaining targets for the year. This planning session aimed to ensure that the AVPL stays on track and efficiently utilizes its resources to achieve the set objectives.
The panel, comprising key officials from the PENRO South Cotabato, including PENRO Sinarimbo, PASu Leonisa C. Alfaro, the division chiefs of Management Services and Technical Services, and the Chief of the Conservation and Development Section, provided their inputs and recommendations to ensure the successful implementation of remaining activities outlined in the work plans of the PAMO AVPL.
The conducted action planning session generated a clear roadmap for the remaining targets, ensuring that the AVPL remains focused on its conservation goals and objectives. Outcomes of the said mid-year assessment will likewise serve as a valuable guide for the AVPL team as they move forward in accomplishing their targets for the year.
