𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘, 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 - In its significant step towards environmental conservation, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 12 - Community Environment and Natural Resources Office CENRO-General Santos City successfully forged the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Adela M. Bustos Trucking and Davao Multi-build Cooperative, and Bagong Buhay Producers Cooperative, on January 17, this city.
The agreement is in lined with the DENR Administrative Order No. 98, which underscores the commitment to the Adopt-A-Mountain Program, which aims in rejuvenating denuded and degraded mountains.
Said initiative coincides with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Administrative Order No. 14-2020, which directs for an obligatory planting of trees and/or mangroves.
Meanwhile, the Bagong Buhay Producers Cooperative as the designated adopter, pledged to oversee the maintenance of the one hectare lot situated at Purok Bagong Buhay, Barangay Mabuhay, General Santos City, and tandems with the Adela M. Bustos Trucking which manifested its intent by taking responsibility for the preservation and protection of the greening efforts in the property.
