𝑲𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒐 – Officials and employees of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) - Region 12 gathered on January 04 at FCG Hotel and Convention Center in Kidapawan City to honor the retirement of Cotabato’s Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Renato C. Domingo, who dedicated 43 years of public service.
Attended by DENR-12 Regional Executive Director (RED) Atty. Felix S. Alicer, Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Management Services Maria Elvira V. Lumayag, ARD for Technical Services Engr. Mama G. Samaon, some PENROs, some CENROs, DENR employees, family, and friends, the Salamat, Mabuhay Program was celebrated to express gratitude for PENRO Domingo's significant role in fulfilling the department's mandates in Region 12.
PENRO Domingo's exemplary career, marked by compassion, dedication, and hard work, began as a Casual employee in the Bureau of Forest Development in 1982. His journey saw notable milestones, including his appointment as Forest Ranger in 1989 and subsequent promotions to Special Investigator Il and Land Management Officer III. Recognition for outstanding achievements in the Public Land Application process followed, awarded by former DENR Secretary Heherson T. Alvarez on June 27, 2002. Serving as one of the region's best Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers, he ascended to the position of full-fledged PENRO on August 3, 2015, and later became the 15th Provincial Officer for DENR Province of Cotabato on January 07, 2022, under Special Order No. 2021-409, signed by former DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu.
