𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐍, 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 - The DENR Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Glan has spread the joy of the season through its "Pamaskong Handog" or Christmas gift gifting initiative by providing more than 1,000 avocado, durian, and indigenous trees seedlings to its partners which started on Tuesday (Dec. 12).
CENR Officer Dr. Rosalinda B. Cortez said that out of the 1,195 seedlings, 720 were donated to the Municipal ENRO of Malapatan while the 475 were given to people’s organizations (POs) here.
“This green initiative not only symbolizes the spirit of giving during the holiday season but also serves as a commendable incentive for the POs involved in the National Greening Program (NGP). Their unwavering commitment to environmental protection has earned them this gesture of appreciation and encouragement,” Dr. Cortez elaborated.
The said collaborative effort between the DENR and its partners highlights the importance of community involvement in safeguarding the environment. The seedlings, which will also receive by other towns under the CENRO Glan, are poised to contribute to the region's greenery to further promote sustainable practices. ###(With reports from JCDumanon, CENRO Glan IO Designate) | 𝐑𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐆𝐌
