𝐊𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘, 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 12 and USAID Safe Water Project will formulate a sustainability plan to maintain the project’s objective in achieving water security in water-stressed villages.
In a meeting on Wednesday (Nov. 9) in this city, ARD for Management Services Maria Elvira V. Lumayag, who represented Regional Executive Director Atty. Felix S. Alicer, together with other DENR-12 officials and personnel lauded the project’s accomplishments in its fourth year of implementation that aided communities including some areas in Sarangani Province and General Santos City in ensuring adequate access to safe water supply and sanitation services and sustainable water resources management.
The Safe Water Project, which started in December 2019, has helped several areas to have an increased access to resilient water supply and sanitation services, improved sustainable water resources, and strengthened water resources governance.
