Various personnel of DENR Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Sarangani and Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Glan joined the planting of 450 indigenous and fruit trees seedlings on September 29 in Barangay Spring, Alabel, Sarangani Province during the ground breaking ceremony of an agro-ecopark established by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority - SOCCSKSARGEN Manpower Development Center (TESDA SOX-MPDC) and in line with the celebration of World Environmental Health Day.
Over 300 of the 450 seedlings were sourced from the CENRO Glan nursery, showcasing the department’s commitment in utilizing native species to promote biodiversity and to support local ecosystems.
