Various officers of the People’s Organizations Federation and coordinators under the Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) program of the DENR-12 took part in the two-day planning workshop which started on Thursday (Sept. 21) in Koronadal City in preparation for the upcoming Regional Multi-Stakeholder Action and Communication Planning in support for the updating of CBFM Strategic Plan for 2023 to 2032.
The activity, which was spearheaded by PFMS-CBFM under the Conservation and Development Division, aimed to ensure that the CBFM Strategic Plan is aligned with other plans such as the Philippine Master Plan for Climate Resilient Forestry Development; National Climate Change Action Plan for 2011-2018; Philippine Development Plan for 2023-2028; Philippine National REDD Plus Strategy and Action Plan; Philippine Biodiversity Strategic Action Plan; National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan; and Sustainable Development Goals.
The CBFM started in 1995 though the Executive Order No. 263. It was designed to sustainably manage the forest resources, promote social justice and improve the well-being of the communities, and develop a strong partnership between the DENR and communities. ### | π‘π’π‚πˆπ†πŒ
