𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐎-𝐌𝐌𝐏𝐋, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎 𝐓𝐮𝐩𝐢 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐢-𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 – PENRO South Cotabato through the Protected Area Management Office- Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape (PAMO-MMPL) in partnership with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Tupi, South Cotabato conducted an “environmental tri-mission” on June 16 at Brgy. Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato.

Said “tri-mission” activities include the distribution of IEC printed materials, a Communication, Education, and Public Awareness (CEPA) campaign, and a tree planting activity which were all conducted in a day.

The CEPA activity which was attended by 80 participants from Acmonan Integrated School-Kafok Extension, tackled the common prohibited acts and penalties, their detrimental effects on the environment as well as the good practices that can be implemented for the conservation and protection of Protected Areas (PAs), particularly the Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape. Along with the CEPA, MMPL team likewise distributed IEC materials to intensify the information dissemination effort.

This was then followed by a tree planting activity participated by the PAMO-MMPL together with MENRO Tupi staff and personnel. As a result, a total of thirty (30) Nabol seedlings were planted in the steep areas of Sitio Sitio Kafok, Brgy. Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato.
