๐Š๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐š๐๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐‚๐จ๐ญ๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐จ โ€“ PENRO South Cotabato through the Protected Area Management Office- Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape (PAMO-MMPL) in partnership with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Tupi, South Cotabato conducted an โ€œenvironmental tri-missionโ€ on June 16 at Brgy. Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato.
Said โ€œtri-missionโ€ activities include the distribution of IEC printed materials, a Communication, Education, and Public Awareness (CEPA) campaign, and a tree planting activity which were all conducted in a day.
The CEPA activity which was attended by 80 participants from Acmonan Integrated School-Kafok Extension, tackled the common prohibited acts and penalties, their detrimental effects on the environment as well as the good practices that can be implemented for the conservation and protection of Protected Areas (PAs), particularly the Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape. Along with the CEPA, MMPL team likewise distributed IEC materials to intensify the information dissemination effort.
This was then followed by a tree planting activity participated by the PAMO-MMPL together with MENRO Tupi staff and personnel. As a result, a total of thirty (30) Nabol seedlings were planted in the steep areas of Sitio Sitio Kafok, Brgy. Acmonan, Tupi, South Cotabato.
