๐Š๐Ž๐‘๐Ž๐๐€๐ƒ๐€๐‹ ๐‚๐ˆ๐“๐˜, ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐‚๐จ๐ญ๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐จ โ€“ A total of 300 bamboo propagules were planted in separate Region 12 towns on June 17 to mark the celebration of this yearโ€™s โ€œWorld Day to Combat Desertification and Drought.โ€
Forester Abdul D. Cariga, community environment and natural resources officer (CENRO) of Kiamba in Sarangani Province, said 200 bamboo propagules were planted at the Pangi River bank in Maitum town by 67 participants from CENRO Kiamba, Protected Area Management Office (PAMO) of Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (SBPS), local government unit (LGU), Philippine Army, Philippine National Police, and academe.
In Cotabato Province, CENR Officer Calil A. Bantuas and the CENRO Midsayap personnel planted 100 bamboos propagules in a riverbank at Barangay Polayagan, Alamada town.
