𝐒𝐊𝐑𝐖 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 - The DENR Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of South Cotabato together with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of General Santos City facilitated the 2nd council meeting of the Silway-Klinan River Watershed Management Council (SKRWMC) at Sun City Suites, Lagao, General Santos City on June 9, 2023.

The meeting was primarily called for to discuss and draft the Manual of Operation of the council. Said manual aims to have a comprehensive institutionalization of the council which establishes precise structural and procedural guidelines to guarantee that partners and stakeholders of the SKRWMC shall follow consistent and methodical action measures.

Present during the said meeting were PENR Officer of South Cotabato Radzak B. Sinarimbo, CENR Officer of Gensan Elmer Mercado, representatives from Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region 12, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Region 12, National Irrigation Authority (NIA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), local government units of General Santos City, Polomolok, Tupi and T’boli, South Cotabato, General Santos Water District, Polomolok Water District, Tupi Water District, City ENRO of General Santos City, and Provincial Government of South Cotabato.
