๐Š๐Ž๐‘๐Ž๐๐€๐ƒ๐€๐‹ ๐‚๐ˆ๐“๐˜, ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐‚๐จ๐ญ๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐จ โ€“ The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 12 through the Enforcement Division (ED) recently spearheaded two separate learning events participated by different batches of enforcement personnel from the field offices to boost protection of wildlife and forest products in the region.

The enforcement personnel were capacitated in the learning events on โ€œPersonnel manning Forest Products Monitoring Station on environmental laws cum prosecution and filing of cases under Presidential Decree No. 705, as amendedโ€ and โ€œWildlife filing and prosecution of cases under Republic Act 9147.โ€

Atty. Felix S. Alicer, regional executive director (RED) of the DENR-12, emphasized in his message the importance of calibrating employees' knowledge on gathering of evidences, familiarization of documents and case build-up which is necessary to the successful filing of cases in court.

โ€œThe spectrum of enforcement starts with surveillance, monitoring and patrolling that leads up to the filing of cases in court," he said.

Apropos to the objectives of the said events, RED Alicer also suggested to have a levelling off event with environmental crime prosecutors for the speedy disposition of cases.
