๐€๐‹๐€๐๐„๐‹, ๐’๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ง๐ข ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ž โ€“ The DENR Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Sarangani joined this morning (January 17) the coastal cleanup activity in this town to keep the coastal waters clean and pollution-free.

The activity, which was spearheaded by the local government unit (LGU) of Alabel, was in line with the observance of Zero Waste Month which carries the theme โ€œStepping Up Solid Waste Management through Efficient Expanded Producer's Responsibility.โ€

Sacks of non-biodegradable wastes were collected by participants from the LGU-Alabel, Provincial Government of Sarangani, DENR-PENRO Sarangani, partner national government agencies, PNP, BFP, Philippine Coast Guard, concerned barangays, bantay dagat, teachers and students of Alabel Elementary School, groups, residents and other stakeholders in the coastal waters of Barangays Kawas, Ladol, and Maribulan
