Several members of the Liga ng mga Barangay in Glan, Sarangani Province were capacitated by the DENR Community Environment and Natural Resources of Glan on the different regulations and permitting programs of the department during the league’s recent meeting.
Various types of public land applications such as the Residential Free Patent, Free Patent Application, Miscellaneous Sales Application, and Special Patent and their corresponding qualifications and requirements were discussed by RPS Chief Ma. Teresita Q. Galapon during the program. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Officer Wenie G. Vergara talked over the ADR and investigation which aims to promote the implementation and use of ADR in assisting the stakeholders/clients resolve their conflicts and disputes through alternative means.
CENR Officer Dr. Rosalinda B. Cortez said that the CENRO Glan has settled a considerable number of land cases and processed different patents through patent drive strategy per barangay.
She also tackled the Wood Charcoal Production Permit, Forest Land Use Agreement for Tourism Purposes (FLAgT), and Private Tree Plantation Registration (PTPR) including cutting permits and inventory of infrastructures within forestlands and mangroves with the support of all barangay local government units.
Dr. Cortez encouraged the barangay representatives to visit their office to give assistance and guidance concerning different applications. She also assured that the DENR would provide efficient and reliable service to the public. | With report from JCDumanon and photos from Pinky Maglasang
