The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Cotabato conducted a “Week of Wellness talks on Health” from September 12 to 16, 2022.
PENR Officer Renato C. Domingo in his message stressed the importance of the activity to encourage a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, nutrition and mental well-being to keep the body in good condition.
“Obtaining physical wellness allows you to nurture personal responsibility for your own health and this is very important in delivering services to the public,” he said.
The event was composed of four parts, namely: 𝘉𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘞𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦 (𝘕𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘪𝘦𝘵), 𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘏𝘺𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘦, 𝘌𝘺𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦-𝘞𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘏𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦-𝘓𝘦𝘵’𝘴 𝘝𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦.
Through these activities, employees were coached on the proper and nutritional diet meal, granted a free haircut, manicures and pedicures, an eye assessment and examination and a chance for a flu vaccine.
The event was graced by Dietitian Abel T. Rizardo, Dr. Christian Jane De Vera of EyeCentrics, Kidapawan and Dr. Thaddeus M. Averilla of the COVID Isolation Unit of Kidapawan.
A Zumba presentation participated by PENRO Cotabato employees and personnel were also conducted to culminate the week-long Health and Wellness activity.
