
The DENR-12 through the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Glan has awarded a Certificate of Commendation to Coast Guard Station Eastern Sarangani during their first Founding Anniversary on September 9 as a recognition to their efforts for being one of the departmentβs partners in environmental protection and conservation.

Dr. Cortez commended the Coast Guard Station Eastern Sarangani for their strict implementation of Republic Act 9147 otherwise known as the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act which resulted to the apprehension of 108 International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) listed endangered reptiles last August 30.

In his message, Glan Municipal Mayor Victor James B. Yap, Sr., has also lauded the CENRO Glan for being active and supportive in implementing environmental policies, plans, and programs, particularly in his town.
