The Monitoring and Enforcement Section of DENR- Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Cotabato recently conducted a capacity building on Investigation Procedures and Proper Documentation in Kidapawan City.
 
The capacity building aimed to coach and improve the quality of work of the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure proper and effective enforcement in performing their duties and responsibilities.
 
In his message, CENRO Abunawas B. Abduladzis, Al-Hajj, said that the training is vital to capacitate the participants in the standard operating procedures for investigation and preparation of documents.
 
Meanwhile, MSD Chief Danilo P. Muyco, JD highlighted that the training is an additional knowledge for the environmental law enforcers to properly carry over environmental laws against violators.
 
Atty. Mae Fretzel H. Deadio and Atty. Florencio Amago, Jr. of DENR XII Legal Division discussed the wildlife law enforcement protocol, investigation procedure, warrantless arrest, and preparation of legal documents.
 
Said training was attended by 65 participants coming from CENRO Matalam, CENRO Midsayap, and Mount Apo Natural Park (MANP) Cotabato. (With report and photos from PENRO Cotabato)
