In his message, DENR-12 Regional Executive Director Atty. Felix S. Alicer stressed the importance of the event after years of being hampered due to the pandemic.

 

“We are glad that after two years, we have this Sports Festival. After months of dedicated work, it’s high time to give everyone a break. This is also an opportunity for us to promote good relationships and unity as one DENR Family,” RED Alicer said.

 

During the event, PENRO South Cotabato won the 1st place in the banner raising contest, followed by the PENRO Sarangani and EMB-12 for the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

 

In the Cheer Dance Competition, EMB-12 won the 1st place while the PENRO South Cotabato and PENRO Cotabato got the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

 

Other events like basketball, volleyball, badminton, bowling and indoor games are still ongoing.

 

Also present in the opening ceremony were ARD for Technical Services Engr. Mama G. Samaon, ARD for Management Services Forester Mamutur D. Cariga, MGB-12 Regional Director Engr. Efren Carido, EMB-12 Administrative and Finance Division Chief Forester Abdulkadir C. Andang, PENROs, CENROs, division chiefs, and other DENR employees.
