The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) General Santos City joined the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery on April 28, 2022 at the Police Regional Office 12, Barangay Tambler, General Santos City.

With a goal to bring the government’s landmark programs much closer to the public, the project was launched together with the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCCO) and other partner agencies all over the country.

CENRO Gensan offered technical assistance on the public’s concerns involving forestry and land administration management.

Over 50 Tabebuia and Bakan seedlings and several IEC materials were also distributed to the attendees.

Meanwhile, various government agencies and organizations all over the region joined the caravan, including the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), among others. DENR Line Bureaus such as Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) were also present. (MJAZulita-Ugarte)
