
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Office XII conducted its 1st Two-Day Regional Management Conference (ManCon) 2022 as presided by Regional Executive Director (RED) Atty. Felix S. Alicer on February 16-17 at Greenstate Convention Center, Koronadal City.
On Day 1, RED Alicer emphasized the importance of reviewing the status of DENR XII in terms of performance as a whole.
Mines and Geosciences Bureau XII Regional Director (RD) Engr. Efren B. Carido presented updates on TMC and SMI Operations, while Environmental Management Bureau XII RD Engr. Omar M. Saikol, MISDS reported the statuses of Material Recovery Facility (MRF), Sanitary Land Fill (SLF) in the region, and the bureau’s priority programs for CY 2022. Lastly, OIC-Center Head Ms. Arceli B. Dela Cruz presented the updates on ERDB-ARDEC.
Chief of Planning and Management Division For. Vicente Y. Curtiz, EnP presented the Compliance to Agreements/ Instructions, Unfinished Business of 2021, and CY 2022 Priority Programs, followed by Chief of Finance Division Ms. Gloria Silvederio, MPA presentation on the financial report of CY 2021, followed by the CY 2022 budget.
Meanwhile, Atty III of Legal Division Mae Fretzel H. Deadio presented the QMS Updates, Status of DENR-Related Cases, and Inventory of Cases, while Chief of Administrative Division Ms. Iki M. Ontawar, presented the Statuses of Procurement and of the Recruitment process for vacant positions.
On Day 2, Regional Enhanced National Greening Program (E-NGP) Regional Coordinator For. Jamel C. Tawan-Tawan presented the NGP-WFP for CY 2022.
Issues and Concerns on technical matters were discussed by the Chief of Conservation & Development Division For. Ali M. Hadjinasser, PhD., Chief of Enforcement Division, For. Dirie P. Macabaning, Chief of Licenses, Patents & Deeds Division Emily B. Ampatuan, EnP., and OIC-Chief of Surveys & Mapping Division Engr. Francisco C. Mancera.
Updates, unfinished businesses, issues and concerns were presented and discussed in the afternoon by PENR Officer (PENRO) Cotabato Province Mr. Renato C. Domingo, PENRO Sarangani Ms. Ma. Elvira V. Lumayag, PENRO South Cotabato For. Shalimar A. Disomangcop, and PENRO Sultan Kudarat Mr. Radzak B. Sinarimbo, respectively.
Finally, ARD for Technical Services Engr. Mama G. Samaon and ARD for Management Services For. Mamutur D. Cariga gave their insights during the ARD’s time.
Said ManCon followed the COVID-19 protocols where other heads and other employees from DENR-XII regional and field offices joined via virtual platform.
