The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) - South Cotabato through the Mt. Matutum Protected Landscape (MMPL) is currently conducting a 3-day re-orientation and training to identify and select Individual Plus Trees (IPT's) for the establishment, maintenance, and protection of SPA’s in South Cotabato.
 
Forester Rizalita C. Maningas, Senior Science Research Specialist of Southern Mindanao Forest Tree Seed Center in Tagum City, Davao del Norte serves as the Subject Matter Expert of the said re-orientation training.
 
Lectures are conducted on the first day of the training while learning on-field demonstrations on MMPL’s Seed Production Area located at Brgy. Maligo, Polomolok, South Cotabato will be done on the second and third days.
 
Present in the event are South Cotabato PENR Officer Radzak B. Sinarimbo who gave a welcome address, Protected Area Superintendent (PASu) Efren C. Hibaler, Assistant PASu Mary Ann C. Tenorio with participants from the Mt.
