The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Kalamansig headed by CENR Officer Iskak G. Dipatuan with the Technical Support provided by the Provincial ENRO of Sultan Kudarat, conducted a Public consultation for the establishment of the Kalamansig-Lebak-Palimbang (KALEPA) Protected Area on July 22.
 
The consultation in the two municipalities (Kalamansig and Lebak) was conducted following the public notification on May 12 and 17 through Brigada News Circulations.
 
This event initiated by the Provincial and Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENRO/CENRO) aimed to include the KALEPA in the list of Protected Areas in Region XII covered by Republic Act 11038 or the Expanded National Integrated Protected Areas System (ENIPAS) Act of 2018.
 
Present in the event were PENR Officer of Sultan Kudarat For. Shalimar A. Disomangcop, Chief Conservation and Development Section For. Mosa D. Dimaampao, Consultant Julius M. Guirjen, Kalamansig Municipal Mayor Representative and Former DENR-12 ARD for Technical Services Ma. Socorro C. Lanto, Lebak Municipal Mayor Representative Joel Bernales, Municipal Administrators, Sangguniang Bayan members, BFAR, DA, MENROs, Tourism officers, MPDOs and other LGU representatives.
