Two owlets were recently rescued by the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Tacurong following an incident report extended by a certain Emily G. Felisida.
The owlets were allegedly practicing to fly and were driven in her area at Brgy. South Sepaka, Bagumbayan, South Cotabato.
 
Upon noticing that the grass owls were having difficulties in flying, Felisida asked assistance from her neighbor to catch the wildlife and reported it to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Office XII.
 
Immediately, the Protected Areas and Wildlife Section (PAWS) of CENRO Tacurong went to the aforesaid barangay to validate the reported incident and rescued the wildlife.
As of writing, the rescued birds were already turned over to the Regional Wildlife Rescue Center in Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat for rehabilitation before it can finally be released back to the wild. | With reports and Photos from CENRO Tacurong
