The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Kalamansig seized several illegally-cut forest products during the office’s recent enforcement operations in Kalamansig town, Sultan Kudarat Province.
 
CENR Officer Iskak G. Dipatuan said that a total of 804 board feet of illegally-cut timbers composed of Narra, White Lauan and Malugai species were seized in barangays Limulan and Sta. Cruz during the conduct of surveillance and monitoring patrol in the said areas.
He said that investigation is now on going to determine the identity of persons behind the environmental crime.
Forester Alimbsar A. Sampal, chief of monitoring and enforcement section, said that the discovered ‘hot logs’ are now under the custody of CENRO Kalamansig for safekeeping and proper observance of protocols.
