On and in behalf of the DENR Region XII family, I welcome you to our reconstructed website. This website was enhanced with the addition of some modules and menus to ensure quick navigation, better linkage and consistency with the main DENR website. This website also provides easy access to the latest in government affairs through a link to the Office of the President. All these enhancements are basically intended to establish better interface with our stakeholder and clientele and to promote transparency in governance, among others. This is in pursuance of the straight path (matuwid na daan) in governance, as enunciated by President Benigno Simeon Aquino III in his "social contract with the Filipino people".

For our part, DENR Region XII is tasked to be both the caretaker and manager of the bountiful natural resources and environment of South Central Mindanao which is endowed with nature’s bounty from the mountains and forests and the seas bounding its western and southern portion as well as the produce from the region’s vast tract of fertile lands.

In our region you will find the "Tuna Capital of the Philppines" (General Santos City) the country’s tastiest crabs (in Cotabato City) and Sarangani’s aquaculture industry that include export quality prawns, bangus, sergeant fish, and pompano among others.

Fruits are also in abundance in the region. The vast fertile lands on the foot of Mt. Apo and Mt. Matutum, as well as the tracts of lands in other provinces and cities produce delectable fruits and are home to various tropical fruits-based enterprises.

The region is also blessed with the richness of its people’s culture, traditions and birthright as exemplified by the enduring presence of Maguindanaons, T'bolis, B'laans, Tirurays and other indigenous peoples in the region.

You will learn more about the South Central Mindanao region and DENR’s thrust towards the sustainability of our natural resources vis-à-vis economic growth and development, through this website. We hope that you will be able to access our services as well as our updates and other relevant information with ease through the use of this internet based facility. Please feel free to visit this website regularly to read important announcements, news, and the latest posts.
