DENR XII heads Regional Ecotourism Committee

 

(March 13, 2017, Koronadal City) – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region XII had initially set directions in leading the Regional Ecotourism Committee (REC) this year after the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region XII passed the key of duties and responsibilities this Monday, March 13.

Pursuant to Executive Order no. 111 which provides for the guidelines for Ecotourism Development of the Philippines, DENR XII Regional Director Reynulfo A. Juan had accepted the chairmanship of REC.“ The DENR will continue where the DOT had already started. The focus of the DENR is to promote ecotourism so that we can also provide livelihood opportunities for our local people. Secretary Gina Lopez wanted to implement programs which are anchored on integrated area development,” Director Juan said
