CONSULTATIVE MEETING

The DENR XII Enforcement Division (ED) personnel together with PENRO Sultan Kudarat and CENRO Tacurong City staff spearheaded the conduct of a Consultation Meeting through an Environmental Lecture with some stakeholders of Barangay Titulok in Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat yesterday, August 15.

The consultation has shed light to the concerns of stakeholders during the discussion on RA 9175 Chainsaw Act, the PD 705 Forestry Code, EO 23 Moratorium on the Cutting of Trees and the Creation of the Anti-Illegal Logging Task Force, RA 9147 Wildlife Act and the Integrated Social Forestry Program.

ED Chief Forester Dirie Macabaning has continuously pushed for the regular conduct of this activity in order to spread understanding of environmental laws and policies.

“It is our role to bring information to the public. Let us be a catalyst to help in the prevention of committing more environmental crimes that has claimed lives and has damaged our biodiversity,” Forester Macabaning said. | Report and Photos by: MMAdam/NPanontongan
